Our wholly owned subsidiary
Mediaone Global Ltd, UK has been producing commendable
films for the international movie market. Apart from
the highly acclaimed feature film Provoked starring
Aishwarya Rai, your company has also produced the feature
film Telling Lies starring Jason Fleming and Melanie
Brown (Spice Girls fame) which will be released in the
first quarter of 2008.
Regional
The feature Film Dhaam Dhoom
starring Jayam Ravi, Kangana Ranout and Lakshmi Rai,
directed by late Jeeva and music by Harris Jayaraj is
nearing completion in Tamil, and will be ready for release
by the end of November 2007.
Television
Visswarupam, Swabhimana,
Geethanjali, Kichchu, Krishnapaksham, are our successful
Mega serials produced in 2006.
Our creative expertise continues
in the field of producing television serials such as
Theem Tharekita with S.P.Charan, Kara Saarama a talk
with Bhagyaraj, comedy serial kannamoochi, mega serial
Bharathi Kannama for various television channels.
Our sincere effort in building

results. Today the brand is visible and strong among
viewers and TV channels. In the coming years, we will

Distribution
This year your Company has
entered into a strategic alliance with Bhagyalakshmi
Films, Bangalore. Bhagyalakshmi Films is a part of one
of the oldest film distribution company in Karnataka
for Hindi films called Mandre Pictures, which started
film distribution in 1957. Recent successful films distributed
are Namaste London starring Akshay Kumar, Cheeni Kum
starring Amitabh Bachchan, Partner starring Salman Khan
and Govinda, Heyy! Baby starring Akshay kumar. Om Shanti
Om starring Sharukh Khan is scheduled for the upcoming
Diwali release.
Exhibition
On the exhibition front,
your Company is in process of acquiring a number of
theatres in B & C towns in Tamil Nadu and has already
purchased a theatre in Kanchipuram. By the financial
year ending 2008 the Company has targeted to acquire
at least about 40 theatres, thereby being one of the
leading Companies in the Industry to offer the Multiplex
Concept in B& C towns in the state of Tamil Nadu.
As you can see, our dream
of shaping Mediaone into an Assets based Media Company
with a comprehensive Production, Distribution and Exhibition
house is turning into a reality.
The industry today and
tomorrow
The entertainment business
in India seems to have moved to an inflexion point.
The entire structure of the business is undergoing a
fundamental and irreversible process. Big business houses
are investing in the entertainment business while existing
companies are rising to the challenge by corporatising
themselves. What’s more, investement interest
from other countries is increasing and even Insurance
companies are supporting the change. The entire structure
and image of the industry seems to be undergoing a change
favorable to innovative thinking.
